What actors don’t tell you! Every time we look at her we feel she is ill. Her only song that rings in our ears in Titanic. I tried listening to her other songs but as an Asian I did not find those songs in any way ear-catching. Since the words love and yearning are so well expressed in the Titanic song that people could relate a lot and mostly the young people.
With her sunken eyes and her eldest son guiding her to the stage makes her look like a grandma. There are millions of women trying to look young and catch a young mate but I am not going to discuss all those crappy minded people.
I am talking about health and ageing. At 55, Celine, who earned millions could not manage good health compared to the millions of poor men and women struggling to make ends meet.
Health is an asset. If you have good health, you are rich and ofcourse as rich as any pop star. What I try to see in Celine’s case is her children through IVF. I am sure so many IVF attempts might have played a strong role in impacting her health negatively.
She said recently that to be a mom is her “privilege”. Interestingly poor people in Asia, and Africa produce children easily and if the governments did not restrict them, there would have been a mega population explosion on earth.
My conclusion from Celine Dion’s privilege is children are human resource who will take care of you, support you when you are old and sick. So, children are important. Have children when you are young so that their youth is not burdened with the responsibilities of elderly care.
I was always afraid of not being able to take care of children because I was born in a resource-scarce family. I could have atleast one but it is too late.
