As such, we are short of time. Whatever, little time wd have, I believe should be spent with close family members and dearest friends.
Yesterday, an interesting thing happened. Vinay, my husband, went to the market with our neighbour. Both bought fish and chicken and came home.
Vinay went out, leaving everything in the kitchen. I cleaned and cut the fish first, then I cleaned the chicken and marinated all and put everything in separate boxes and placed in the feezer.
Around 9 pm, Vinay asked, “what is there for dinner?”
I said “Nothing is there.”
Vinay said, “I can manage with the dassera mangoes, you see, what you can do for yourself.”
I said “okay”.
After some time, he sniffed the air a few times and said, “I can smell something,” yet I didn’t say anything.
Suddenly, he jumped up and said “You are such a greedy woman, it can’t happen that you didn’t cook anything. I can smell the aroma of food…” πππ
Then, I told him, “If you are hungry, you can set the table for dinner.” His favourite food is besan chilla. This is a besan-sooji-aloo-pyaz chila or spicy pan cake.

As he was hungry and tired, he went to the kitchen with curiosity and found “moong dal cooked with bottlegourd and seasoned with ghee, and deep fried crispy fish.
I love to devote my time with family members, friends and relatives.
