A Little Knowledge is Dangerous
We have learnt in school that cooking gas is inflammable and there are a number of videos teaching us how to tackle fire from inflammable gas. Videos from gas companies tell us to use a blanket over the fire from the cylinder.
In an effort to make a reel, the brother in law and sister in law, used inflammable gas in a 7th floor apartment of a multistoried building. The cylinder exploded causing injury and damage. Structural Engineers are called to check for the safety of the building.
Police are preparing to file charges under multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS) for reckless endangerment and damage to public property. Officials stated that additional charges could be considered, given the extent of destruction caused. Both victims remain in critical condition at the hospital. Click here to read more.
