Chicken Curry and Saffron Rice
Chicken is fried in oil first with salt only. Then prepare the gravy. Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onion. Then add a paste of ginger-garlic, red chillies and tomatoes. Cook until the oil separates. Add the chicken and cook for some time and then add a little bit of fresh curd and cook for sometime and finally add water and some salt to your taste. Cover and cook. Finally add some garam masala powder and chicken masala powder and cook for 10 minutes until the gravy thickens with oil floating on top.
