Bottlegourd Curry

Loki ka sabzi:

Bottlegourd or loki has no taste as such. So how to make it a delicious item?

Here we go:

Cut the bottlegourd in small size, onion and tomato into very small size so that they cook easily. Also grate some ginger.

Heat oil in pan. Add white and black jeera and let it splutter. Then add tomato slices. Then add grated ginger and cook for sometime. Then add bottlegourd and cover and cook. When fifty percent done, add curry powder. We use home made curry powder.

Then add green chillies and cover and cook. Cook for some more time till the vegetable is almost dry.
