Aloo ka Paratha

Aloo Paratha and home-made achar. There can be any kind of parathas.

This is the most common breakfast that one can think of in North India. There are various ways of making an aloo paratha.

Here, I took boiled potatoes and mashed it along with chopped coriander leaves and sliced green chillies. Then I added aamchoor powder, jeera powder, salt and a pinch of hing.

One interesting way is making two parathas and stuffing it in between and rolling all together.

We make it as a way of stuffing the ball. Sometimes we mix the boiled potatoes and spices in the dough itself.

But our favourite way is to make a big ball, stuff it with potatoes and spices and roll it and dry roast it on tawa. Then finally add some ghee to it and cook for few minutes to give it that golden colour.
