Near the fridge, she sat looking around her and he spotted her from near the kitchen top. She moved and he followed her. To check what food was there in the fridge the lady opened the fridge door while he chased the beauty. His eyes were on her who looked eagerly back at her from the darkness of the room.

She disappeared suddenly and he could not guess where she went. Lying static and disappointed he was unaware of any potential harm. Suddenly the lady moved back and then front and left the kitchen.

In his moment of confusion, he was smashed under the navy blue thick-soled Khadim’s and laid there motionless. The charm who led to his carelessness was not be seen around.

The lady returned flip flopping into the kitchen to find the lizard dead on the floor. She took some tissues and a kitchen tool to remove the lizard from the kitchen. Thus ended the life of a lizard by accident.

Since this flat is open to insignificant lives like the life of a lizard and pigeons by not using pesticides and nets to prevent these lives, it also has stories of the love birds in the balcony. The pigeons lay eggs and some don’t even hatch for reasons the lady of the house is unaware of.

There are eagles who come down with great speed and steal the pigeon eggs and attack little pigeons who have just learnt to walk. The lady gets to hear the batting of the wings and rustling of feathers. So nature is not neither kind nor cruel, it is the struggle of life over death.
