What’s a moment that made you question reality?

BJP coming to power in West Bengal made me question reality.

‘BJP has more clarity than TMC, CPIM and Congress”

The gen Z is educated from private schools. A large majority is poor in terms of education. The variation in quality reduced with class. People welcomed BJP hoping industries will start. A primary school dropout also makes payment online. BJP has something for everyone.

What industries will start we don’t know but new buildings will come up, so construction work will be there. The small jobs that they did in other states, they may get to do it in West Bengal. Families will get to stay together as cost could be better managed.

Their condition did not change. Their parents worked as autowallahs now their children will work as uber drivers. And more will join in such gig economy as drivers from the families which had government jobs.

But the extortion should stop. At every level working people did not pay tax but the TMC extortionisrs took the money on behalf of government. In villages, no wage labourer got paid at government rate because TMC deducted the money at source.

People know they have to work. The CPIM government made them taxi drivers and auto drivers. The TMC made them extortionist and handed them liquor which brought their women in public. Hopefully BJP will give them more jobs in malls, homes, uber, zomato, cooks etc.

The middle class will now have to do odd jobs to survive. Their hope of a decent job is bleak. They have to live on rental income and other temporary jobs as educational counsellor, teachers with less pay, sales professional, content writers, ad hoc faculty, lawyers, caregivers abroad, developing and maintaining websites.

When educators became lenient with marks like 2 people get first rank, 10 people get second rank, we can see children of poor people are also doing good in studies.

During CPIM government graduates worked as hawkers, mechanics, car drivers, book sellers. The NEP and its Vocational training, and distance education have equipped children of lower middle class better for the new economy.

Middle class will have to compete harder to retrieve their parents investment in buying seats in medicine, engineering, law, science, fine arts, IAS coaching etc. Many will sell home made pickle, spices, honey and ghee, packing clothes, designing weddings.

New age jobs like job brokers with platforms, Dress Designer, Art and Photography experts, Doctors specialising in cosmetology, IVF, body shaping, yoga and massage.
