Food making is an art and therapy. If you are very stressed, don’t sit and mire into muddy thoughts. Bro’ come out of that hole of darkness and be your own light.

All of us have stressful lives, and we all handle it accordingly. My spouse and I dabble a lot in the kitchen and in activities such as gardening, painting and sewing.

Today, I will give you an example, how one can be creative. In our tiny garden in the balcony, we have plants such as jasmine, aloevera, nayantara (Madagascar Periwinkle), curry leaves and lemon grass. We have only five pots and birds come and lay eggs between the pots inspite of my brooming and cleaning the balcony regularly. I love sketching and stitching apart from gardening.

I pick the fruits of our labour from the garden and leave it on the kitchen table for my spouse to use it. He wears his creative cap and serves these: the curry leaves are used in the ‘poha’ and the jasmine flowers in green tea.
