
This is really lovely. Some call it fritters.
Soak chana dal, roasted grams, overnight. Next day, drain the water and make a coarse mixture by adding onions, coconut, green chillies and salt and putting them in a blender and running the pulse mode button.
Take the mixture out and mix it with a pinch of asafoetida, coriander powder, red chillies flakes, coriander leaves and mint leaves.
Rest the mixture for 15 minute.

Then heat oil on a flat pan and make round shaped paties and place them on the pan.

Cook till the paties are golden brown on both sides.
