In a Bengali film, Saat pakhe badha, the actress Suchitra Sen tears the shirt of the hero, Soumitra Chatterjee.

Sitting on the roof top of our house in Calcutta, I was having my tea in the calm, cloudy winter morning.

Suddenly I noticed the crows landing on the walls of the roof. They were having an assembly meeting. In the centre one crow thrashed the other crow. I drove them away to occupy my seat. While they left in anger few were still there.

Among them this couple were gently pecking each other. One crow seemed to be smaller and this crow was gently pecking on the chest of the bigger crow. At one point, the small crow tried to pick the feathers off the chest of the bigger crow.

Romance indeed.
