This type mutton Stew is very popular in Indian homes. It goes well with rice. We use a lot of red chilli, potatoes and a wet spice mixture that gives the thickness to the gravy.

Blend raw ginger, garlic, onion, tomato, green chilli, red chilli, mustard seeds, cumin and coriander seeds in a blender.

You need to marinate the chicken in the wet mixture along with a spoon of curd.

After 30 minutes, heat oil in the pan. Add bay leaf and whole garam masala and fry them till you get the aroma. Then add the marinated chicken and fry till the chicken and spice are mixed well. Finally add water and cook for 50 minutes.
